Everyone Has Opinions is an independent editorial publication that documents public statements, tests attributable factual claims, and keeps uncertainty visible. The aim is to help readers see what was said, what can be checked, and which evidence supports an assessment.

What we publish

The site brings together dated public-record editions, claim assessments, topic archives and clearly labelled editorials. Coverage includes Donald Trump's public statements alongside subjects such as EU claims, urban myths and visitor-submitted claims.

Factual assessment and opinion serve different purposes. An opinion, slogan or prediction without a testable factual core is not forced into a verdict. Where the available record cannot settle a claim, uncertainty should remain visible rather than being presented as certainty.

Publisher and independence

The publication is edited and published by Ingolfur Stangeland. It is not affiliated with a political party, government, candidate or social platform.

AI may assist with research organization, drafting and production. The publisher remains responsible for sourcing, verdicts and publication. An automated output is not itself evidence; readers should be able to follow the sources behind an assessment.

How to read an assessment

Start with the specific claim and its context, then follow the evidence links. Primary records are preferred, with reliable reporting and specialist sources used for corroboration. Supported, False, Misleading and Unresolved have distinct meanings, explained in our editorial standards.

Dates matter. An assessment describes the evidence available for the statement being checked; a later development may require an update. Material corrections should be made visibly when better evidence arrives.

Participate or request a correction

You can propose a check through Visitor Claims. Provide a specific statement, an attributable source and enough context for a reader to understand it. Submission does not guarantee publication or a particular verdict.
