These terms describe use of Everyone Has Opinions, an independent publication edited and published by Ingolfur Stangeland. They cover reading, sharing and participating in the site.

Assessments and opinions

Claim assessments reflect an evaluation of the cited evidence and the context of a specific statement. They may be revised when better evidence becomes available. Editorials express their authors' views and should be read separately from factual assessments.

The site provides public-interest information and commentary. It does not provide advice tailored to a reader's legal, medical, financial or other professional circumstances. Read the linked sources and publication dates before relying on an assessment.

Sharing and reuse

You are welcome to share links to our pages. Contact the publisher before republishing complete articles, adapting substantial parts of our work or using it commercially where permission is required. Preserve attribution and do not imply endorsement by the publication.

Rights in original material remain with the relevant rights holders. Quotations, source documents and third-party images may have separate rights. These terms do not restrict quotation, criticism, review or other uses permitted by applicable law.

Visitor submissions

Submit only material you are entitled to share. Claims should identify what was said, who said it and a source that can be checked. Do not submit private personal information, confidential material, threats, unlawful content, impersonation or targeted harassment. Do not manipulate voting or disrupt the service.

When you submit a claim or editorial for publication, you permit us to review, edit for presentation and publish that submission as part of the site. You retain any rights you hold in your material; this permission does not transfer ownership. Public attribution follows the information on the submission form.

We may decline, correct or remove submissions for editorial, safety or quality reasons. Submission does not guarantee publication, a response or a particular assessment. AI-assisted processing may be used, and automated checks can make mistakes. The publisher remains responsible for publication decisions.

Advertising, links and privacy

Advertising, promotional placements and external links may appear on the site. Linked services are independently operated and have their own terms and privacy practices. Their inclusion does not make their content part of our editorial assessment.

Our Privacy page explains information processed for site operation, advertising and submissions. Do not send passwords or authentication tokens with a submission or contact request.

Availability and corrections

Content and features may change or be temporarily unavailable. We do not promise uninterrupted access or that every error will be detected. If you identify an error, a rights concern or a problem with your submission, use the contact page and include the affected URL and relevant evidence.

Our editorial standards describe sourcing, verdicts and corrections. The About page explains the publication's purpose and responsibility.

Changes to these terms

Updates will appear here with a revised effective date. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or protections that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
